The Pyrenees is a fantastic range of mountains offering a huge variety of mountaineering challenges. The Cirque of Gavarnie is a UNESCO World Heritage Site protected from any development and most famous of all for its stunning water falls in summer and its ice climbing in winter. Then there are the Cirques of Troumousse and Estaube the canyons of Ordessa and Anisclo and the high mountain summits of the Vignemale, the Mont Perdu, Astazou and Pic de Midi - all of which provide challenging winter climbs.

There are simpler mountains too - and some great winter walks in the Pyrenees National Park and the Neouvielle Nature Reserve, so we are offering a week of winter skills walks with a built in teaching programme that will help you develop the skills you need for winter walking back at home.

“Brilliant week ! Thanks so much for all the organising and hard work.”
- David Booth
