Ski
Touring Itinerary
DAY
1 - Fly to Turin
We pick you up in our minibus and drive to the Briancon area of te French Alps where
we spend the night in a small hotel or pension. At this point you will meet your
guide for a full briefing for the tour.
DAY 2 - To Refuge Chardonnet
From Le Lauzet (Col de Lantaret 1710m) we climb up a small valley on to some steep slopes heading up to the Col du Chardonnet (2638m) before undertaking the easy ski down to the refuge Chardonnet (2223m).
DAY 3 - Les Grand Rochers de la Grand Tuefite
From the refuge we ski on down through the forest to the Jadis bridge and then there is a long climb to get to the peak at Les Rochers de la Grande Tuefite (3002). Then a lovely descent brings us to the Refuhes des Drayeres (2180m).

DAY 4 - Refuge du Mont Thabor
This is a long day traversing the mountain (about eight hours) to get to the Refuge du Mont Thabor. On the way we cross three cols: the Cole de Nevache, the Passage du Pic du Thabor and the Col de Cheval, all fairly evenly spaced along the day’s route.
DAY 5 - Mont Thabor
The day begins with a short descent to the Cole de la Vallee Etroite and from there on to the lac du Peron. Here we get back on skins to pass through the Col les Meands and finally up to the summit of the Mount Thabor itself, the highest summit in this region (3178m). On the way up we will stop just before the top at the little chapel. Next comes a really magnificent run sdown the South face of the mountain all the way back into the forest on a route that leads us to the Refuge Tre Alpini in the Vallee Etroite (1765m).
DAY 6 - Pic de la Blanc
We start by turning back on tracks into the forest before taking a small valley to the South which comes out into the Col du Vallon (2645m). Then we carry on to the Lac Blanc before ascending to the Pic de lac Blanc (2980m) before skiing down the West face to the Refuge Ricou (2115).
DAY 7 - The Long Ski Home
We head on up to the Vallee de la Claree before splitting off West to get up to the Col des Berauds (2895m.). Then a really excellent descent on the South flank all the way to Lauzet.
DAY 8 - Fly back to UK
Today you head back to the airport
to meet your return flight home.
